I actually highly recommend this book. Most of my readers I suspect are not highly interested in "business." But this book contains so much more. You might have to be able to catch the ideas that translate and the ideas that apply to you.
A few highlights of the book would be:
- Not hard to read. Appealing to the eyes.
- A bunch of short blurbs on what these guys have learned starting a company. This book is not an exhaustive account.
- Practical advice on how to conduct meetings, not waist time
- Brilliant section on workaholics:
"Workaholics don't actually accomplish more than non-workaholics. They just claim to be perfectionists, but that just means they're wasting time fixating on inconsequential details instead of moving on to the next task. Workaholics aren't heros. They don't save the day, they just use it up. The real hero is already home because she figured out a faster way to get things done."
