Cynicism...Constructive Criticism?

I think a lot of us confuse constructive criticism with cynicism. (So many C's!)

Do you ever notice how easy it is for us to constantly point out the faults or how if we were in charge, it would be all different? Or how everyone else has all these character flaws and if they would just fix themselves then all would be okay?

I think we have an inflated view of ourself.

For me, I'm just tired of being the judge. And despite what I may think, not everyone wants to know my opinion. So for some things, I'll choose to not have an opinion.

I am not saying to swallow everything uncritically. I think it would be great if we picked out battles wisely. I think it would be amazing if went spent our time building others up instead of tearing down.

Cynicism is not a good character trait. Cynicism produces bitterness, stinginess and an overall negative persona. Notice how your cynical friends are the friends that you hesitate on how much you open up to.

Instead of being the person who has to let the world know what you think, be the person who is marked by gratefulness. Be the person who is marked by humility. Because everyone likes and trust that person.
